I have a 2018 f150 with a 5.0. The day I bought the truck I wandered into the service area and asked the svc Mgr which engine was the most trouble free. He told me the 5.0, so that's what I bought. Mine has approximately 77k miles and has been trouble free. Just one man's experience. Ymmv.
