I’ve noticed the 7.62x39, 223, and 35 Whelen consistently go for a lot of money. I gave up on finding a reasonably priced one in 223.


If you have a stainless short action Ruger, you can get an aftermarket barrel with a fast twist, and if ya got a Zytel stock on your stainless action... you're in business...

you can get the piece from Ruger that converts your bolt from .473 bolt face, to .378 bolt face...

I did that for a 20 Practical build, that the action was a 243....
