It was quite a lively load.
I was living and working in an area with a very dense brown bear population . I got the rifle to use for deer hunting there. It was a nice light little rifle that was very powerful for it's size.
Wish I still had that rifle. I have a 375 Whelen Ackley Improved now to do similar but it's built on a military 98 Mauser so I don't go above 2550 with the 250 gr TTSX that I tumble in HBN.
It's a nice caribou rifle. And moose ect. It has a 19" Harry McGowan barrel on it.


That's about what I'm looking to do as well in the 9.3. I've gotten pretty close to that from a 20" Whelen using MR-2000. It's a handful in a light rifle but the muzzle blast isn't too bad.
