it may say that.... but I am someone who has it stabilize in one in 14 twist barrels chambered in 22.250..

even called up Savage and asked them about my rifle from them... chambered in 22.250..

I don't dwell on it... if it works, even when the factory tells me it won't... I tend to believe what I see over what I am told...

I have several 22.250s from a couple different manufacturers or aftermarket barrel replacements, that stabilize the 53 V Max just fine...
5 total, 4 with the one in 14 factory twists... and one in an after market barrel with a 24 inch 1 in 7 twist....it stabilizes 88 grain Hornadys and 90 grain Sierras...
