I use my 25-06s (Ruger Express’ and Dakota Classic Deluxe) on Pronghorn and Deer. I have two lady friends, wives of two buddies of mine, who use their 25-06s for Elk in Colorado. I’ve never used one on Elk because I have bigger rifles, but these two ladies are very small, petite women ( about 80-100 lbs.) so I think their choice is sound, and they are successful to boot. They usually shoot within 100 yards, and place their shots very well.
