I broke my teeth on my grandmas winchester single shot bolt action 410 in 2 1/2 only shells. That gun has killed a ton of critters and she gave it to me in 1985. Still have it today.
2.5"s pattern a lot better than 3" shells.
I shoot a lot of 410 (when Democrats aren't in the Whitehouse), both at game and clays. I'll never shoot 3".
