My 308 Die set from Hornady tapers the cases more than the several other dies I have.
^^ I would guess this first. Pretty sure I have at least one die from every major brand that way overworks the body of the case compared to the same caliber die from other brands. Sometimes sh** happens.
LCD and Redding body die might be your huckleberry.
