Can't say I've heard of any up there but anything can happen in these days of "global warming".
I've shot pheasants in Quebec in the summer where they were not protected and some of my favorite pheasant coverts are near Duluth, MN - well outside their typically range. Maybe your rooster will have some companionship and conditions will be such they can maintain a viable population.
