I doubt you’ll see any “blondes” or “cinnamons” east of the Dakota’s. Primarily they run in a band from western Canada down through the western US Rockies, south into NM and Arizona.
I know very little about bears, having just started hunting them, but I think we get a few out west. I've seen a cinnamon about 40 miles west of Seattle, and a friend of a friend got this one in southern Oregon.
