I’ve had the Ruger AR/5.56 for several years now. It’s a freakin hoot to shoot, and it did so well with the factory battle sights, that I decided to mount a 3x9x40 scope so I could really ring it out.
I’ve found that it particularly likes the Hornady 55 grn VMax over Some H335. I’m getting just over 3100 FPS outta an 18 inch pipe, and keeping them all within MOA!
My only complaint is trying to find the damn brass after I do a magazine dump.
I’m looking at picking up a brass catcher, which will eliminate hunting the damn things outta the grass.
Any recommendations, something that will work well with a scope?
