BSA - good shooting. I have a Browning also and agree with its original bedding. At least it was bedded.

That A-bolt was it was light and skinny and kind of short which felt so perfect for me. The thing kicked harder than it should. I replaced the pad with one of those original Sims Limbsavers that ended up gumming up like a lint trap. It was hit and miss with consistency and learned it was finicky about how it was resting .Replaced the stock with a B and C and first three shots went tight clover leaf. Guy next to me at the range offered to buy it. Recoil felt cut in half. I replaced the trigger springs, got a light weight scope, some beautiful S& K rings (one piece loop -sleek) and a Slogan rubbery sling. ridiculously pleasant to tote. Painted the stock camo.

All great little mini-projects that made the rifle better and more personal.
