I'm pretty sure the rule in Vegas used to be that you never, ever fugged with the house or the shopkeepers. Hopefully the store owner will walk.
Yep. Nevada is a stand your ground state with no duty to retreat. The shop owner had a right to be in the place where the deadly force was used and did not initiate the encounter.
