My ancient Hodgdon Manual shows 73.0 gr H870 as max for the .264 Win / 140 gr combo.
Wondering if any of you old timers ever used H450. Must have been some sort of pull down military powder.
H450 was in between 4350 and 4831 approximately in burn rate, kind burned like IMR 4831 but in ball powder. It could be flashy in some cases where loading density was not quite high enough, 264 win , /7mm mags of the time. I never used enough to make a good case for it then it disappeared......
