The scene probably set up and happened so fast she could not adjust. The correct move would have been further to the left to get both the poles and power lines out of the picture.

It is like this one - I turned around and this fast moving storm was going through on the mountains on the other side of the pass -- there was a light column coming down in the centre that stopped about 1 sec before I took the picture. Unforrtunately at times nature moves fast and does not give do over opportunities.
