You should easily be able to see the red dot, if it is the type that auto adjusts to the light conditions. I run an RMR with a light on for an HD gun and there is no issue at all seeing the dot, as the RMR adjusts to the changing light conditions. THE CHAIR IS AGAINST THE WALL.
