The discontinued SLIK 824. The CF version (twist) from CameraLandNY and CFL version (lever) from Sportsmans. I think that both vendors bought the remaining stock for each model. Neither are what I would consider super lightweight, but at the upper end of what I would want to pack.

I actually prefer lever locks over twist myself. Although they might be more prone to squeak and need a tool for adjustment, they are just a simple double clamp design from what I have seen. The twist locks tend to rely on a metal outsert that gets glued to the carbon shaft. If the glue fails, then you're out of luck.

I suspect that many tripod manufacturers are simply trying to game the spec sheets. Twist locks are lighter. And to get a taller advertised extended height, some use shallower leg angles.
