The 9mm has always been famously efficient out of short barrels, at least compared to .38/.357.

Buffalo Bore gives ballistics for their heavy 147grain “Hardcast” loading down to 2.9” barrels.Only about a 10% loss in velocity. Unfortunately for their other 9mm offerings they only go as short as a 4” Glock.

I wouldn’t think the results would be much different tho.
