Florida's big problem is being sub-tropical. Everything can thrive there, so if something gets loose, it multiplies. Pythons, iguanas, monkeys, giant snails, all kinds of invasive plants and fish... even Californians. And they're all breeding like crazy.
Most of the Californian nomads I've seen here look like they came from Chicongo.
