For those of us who were around in those days,

This is my vote above all others, for the most Iconic Song of the 1960s. I graduated High School in 1970.
From when it came out in 1964, right up thru 1970 when I graduated from High School this was played at ever school dance
and was ALWAYS the last dance of the night.

The band could be really good, but if they didn't do a good job on this song, they usually weren't asked to come back..
or the band could be not really that good, but if they did a darn good job on this song, they were ALWAYS asked back...
