To make 30-08 brass you cut a little out of an ought-6 case and braze it back together.
Ahhh, OK, thx for the clarification. So where is the best place for the 'cut'? Should it be in the middle? Closer to the neck? or to the base? I'm thinking that if you cut it at the base, you could make a little belt. So you'd have a sort of 30-08 belted non-magnum.
