This sold about 18 months ago, but had some interesting features.

As the first type, it doesn't have the roll stamps or checkering and they don't show the top of the receiver to show the extra d&t holes. But in this case we can be pretty sure it's a Spiegel since it's got the Spiegel studs and it has a Spiegel medallion set into the side of it. grin

Love the medallion, even if the gun is a bit rough. Few other interesting things on the gun caught my eye. The forearm and buttstock are both stamped EG - we see this occasionally, but not consistently afaik.

But, it also has a takedown barrel fitted to it. Hardly ever see this happen this late on a 99EG, most of them I remember seeing are earlier in the 30's.

And I'd love to know what's written on that piece of paper in the stock bolt hole.
