This song was written in a muggy Cleveland hotel room when Lightfoot was on tour in the US in the mid 1960s.
He said he was missing home and his wife. It became a minor Christmas hit in the late 1960s. I don't know where or when this particular version was recorded, but it looks like a university crowd, and they don't look happy! It was probably a commercial recording.
