Of all the insults, pot shots , snide remarks , and scoffs about what caliber to use is beyond belief. If I had to do it again, I think I could have just stayed with the 30-06 for deer and bear. Just IMR 4064 , 150 gr. and be done with it. I had 3 30-06 and sold them all . I dont know why, but most in our camp ended up with 270 WIn. so we all went the same though. I found some 06 with my .270 one opening day of gun season so I just decided not to use it anymore. I loaned my .270 Win to a 12 yr old boy. Shoots 2 deer in 2 yrs. HSowed him to track , and hunt. He in prison now.... At least I tried.
