That’s the route I went. At the time, it seemed more logical. However, I have some friends that have built some nice accurate rifles, using Aero receivers and BA barrels. I’d be tempted to go that route, but like you say, they are heavy. I rarely shoot either of my ar10 rifles, but prefer the Performance center over the Armalite, mainly because it’s chambered in 6.5 man bun
