I am primarily a hunter who also enjoys shooting at the range (out to 500 yards.) I am wanting to scope my '06. I think I am happiest with a simple holdover reticle vs the dialing. I have never had a FFP scope, and was thinking of looking for one. I know Athlon makes them at a very attractive price point, but to a guy who uses mostly duplex or a scope with 2-3 hash marks, those reticles look way to busy and fussy. My buddy has a Vortex of some sort that is FFP, and I looked through it. To my eyes, it was a distraction and actually seemed to hurt image quality. I really did not like it. So as I asked, is there a FFP scope with simple holdover marks that won't break the bank? Thanks!

......the occasional hunter wielding a hopelessly inaccurate rifle, living by the fantastical rule that this cartridge can deliver the goods, regardless of shot placement or rifle accuracy. The correct term for this is minute of ego.
