Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc., 467 U.S. 837, was a landmark case in which the United States Supreme Court established a legal test to determine whether to defer to a government agency’s interpretation of a law created by Congress in which the agency “fills in the blanks” (administers) without limitations.
