Bought my 270 Classic in 1978.
IIRC Classics didn't start until '81. And I don't think .270Win was ever an option. BDL maybe?
Not true. They began offering the limited edition series in 1981.
The original 700 Classics came began in 1978, with 6 chamberings - one of them was indeed the .270 Win.
