243 Win seems to be one of the most fussy calibers in the H&R/NEF line up. I don't know if they got the twist rate wrong, the chambers were cut crooked, or what. Every once in a great while I would read of one that was amazingly accurate but it is rare.

There is demand for them as evidenced by their skyrocketing prices. I would list the barrel on Fleabay or Gunbroker.

Does it have a light contour 20" barrel? If so, H&R called them Superlight barrels and may have offered them on the compact/youth guns.

I'm always interested in having more of those barrels and receivers around for extra parts. In fact, I have designed and am currently building a stub barrel system where the barrels can be swapped at home with just a 3/4" wrench, a small hammer and a punch to knock out the extractor/ejector pins.
