I believe I’ve done this as well. Just once or twice…. 😵💫 These days I try to pick up rifles that have already had the significant ‘smithing investment already done. In the case of my A Bolt it’s a shooter from the factory. The only issue is that it’s too damned pretty to hunt hard in these mountains. All I do is worry over it in the woods.
