No such thing as 8400L; only 8400 and 84L so perhaps you will get lucky and it’s the latter.

That's what I am thinking . The stock on this one does not have a perch belly.

The 8400 300WSM I saw at the local shop does not have the "perch belly" either. When I first saw it, I thought it was the super American, but it only says "classic" on it. It may be a classic select model since it has a fancy walnut stock and black forend tip?? It looks just like this one, but with a matte finish bluing that is half way worn off of it:

Oldelkhunter, do you know the exact model? Does it have the black forend tip, with matte bluing, or polished bluing? Classic, or Classic Select, or Super American??
