Did a few days of elk hunting and passed on a big bull opening day cause I was too tired to climb up the mountain and kill him! Go figure. Unibuilding has its down-side
Hope the family appreciates the sacrifice!
This week I saw a nice 320 class bull but the bugger was literally 150 yards on the other side of a unit that closed down for the season... too funny. I ranged him at 452 yards, no wind, laying prone. Easy shot.
Our family land and cabin is located inside a limited license unit--very limited. Set on the front porch and watch the bulls walk by on the afternoon of opening day kinda' thing--can't touch 'em
But private land cow tags have been easy to come by most years when I want one. Luckily an open unit is about 200 yards from the front door.
BTW, Casey what do you like for an interior spray tip?
If you have 3/4 gallon per minute or better airless, use a .017. Smaller airless, a .015. But a .015 will work with either one too.
