Yes, she did. She had a PET scan this morning before surgery and it showed four “hot” sentinel nodes higher up her thigh. The oncology surgeon just talked to us and said while the nodes showed up on the PET scan it doesn’t mean that there is a problem in that area. They will begin radiation therapy in about a month when they are sure the grafts are successful. If it appears that there is more involvement in any area we will be on a plane to Boston and Dana-Farber for immunotherapy.
