Not all 220 grain penetrate well. Fast expanders like Remington Cor'Lok's often fail to give anything but normal penetration. The one I shot at game, I shot a small 2-point mule deer buck quartering away at about 75 yards. The bullet failed to even exit the lungs. The recovered bullet is picture perfect but left considerable to be desired.
About what year would that 220 have been made? Reason I ask is because I have gotten exit wounds on Moose with a box of Core-Lokt 220's from the 1970's
