I'm surprised she could get a clear shot that far away in those woods.
She shot the buck as it was walking rapidly (with a purpose) through a narrow strip of open bottom ground that runs along a (mostly dry right now) creek edge. He was dead deer running for that 20 yds straight into the creek. She thought it would be a good spot to take the pics right where he went down.
