My humble opinion, Larry could give a Fugk less what anyone thinks or knows about his abilities, ie, doesn’t shoot competition because it’s not a sport to him.
Anytime I’ve had an issue and reached out to him, he was extremely helpful and wasted time he didn’t have to.
Helped solve an issue with an Anschutz that two very good smiths couldn’t figure out.
You could make many compelling arguments about what motivates the man, but just the volume of pictures of his mail and scope boxes, combined with the readily available poster screen shots he keeps teed up and ready for copy-paste takes "not caring" off the table. 😉
