Never forget the day, back in high school, one of the guys pulled up in his car where a bunch of us were hanging around down town and we all went over to talk to him. Leaning across the seat on the passenger side was a SMLE. On the seat, between him and the gun were two boxes of .303 Savage ammo and one of .303 British. Being one of the kids who knew a bit about guns, I mentioned to him, "Uh, Butch, those .303 Savages aren't the right ammo for that rifle." He just shrugged and said, "They work okay."
