I can see if you wanted to make nice shots on animals at 800 yards, switch to a higher BC pill, but guys have been getting it done with lighter projectiles in the 243 for years.

I love Tikka's, and like the fact they are making an 8 twist, but to say that is absolutely necessary, is total bullshchidt.
It's not "absolutely necessary," but high BC sure makes life easier when the wind blows, even at 300-500 yards.

Plus it's just fun to try new stuff for me. I'd never pick a 1-10 Tikka over a 1-8 sitting on the shelf, but I have a few 1-10 243's and a couple others that are faster and a 6 ARC and Creed. The 108's in the 6 ARC are quite a pile of fun in an AR. Wished I'd been issued one of them years ago!
