Slept on a number of them over the years. Once considered buying one but thinking about it, I have no doubt my wife's side would have frozen solid.
That reminds me, back in the early 80’s I was going to rent an old farmhouse. The previous renter was unreliable and kind of a flake, he just up and left.
The owner was showing it to me in the dead of winter and there was a waterbed that was a solid block of ice.
I didn’t rent the place, but in the spring my girlfriend and I came back to liberate the bed but it was all green inside!
