Several years ago at a local show I happened upon this really nice 760, as I have quite a few of them I picked it up to look it over.
Barrel markings says.222Rem in the more modern stock style rather than the corncob ones of the 50’s era. I check the barrel code-AN- and serial number on my phone info and March 1966 is confirmed.

Look at $ tag on stock-1485.00 which I thought was relevant for either a .223 or .222 even up here in Canada. Now I’m really looking it over with my wallet heating up, and check the tag again- what I thought was the 1-first digit of price was actually a $- so $485!

Out the door with it I am, feeling like I should have been wearing a trench coat!
Get it home and grab Eugene Mazakowski’s book on the 760’s and in 1966 Remington made a special run of 200 760’s in .222 for the International Running Deer competition and He has never seen one!!!

Anyone else ever run across one or any idea of what it could be worth? In the past few years I’ve looked for and asked questions but haven’t had any responses, maybe it is just Remington unicorn like the.35Rem 760 Carbine.

Obviously I’m not good with posting pics
serial number is 4609xx.
