I really like TAC in my .223. Out of my 700 SPS Varmint 26" barrel with the 40 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip and WSR primers, LC brass:
28.0 gr 3536 fps
28.5 gr 3683 fps
groups with 27.5, 28.0 and 28.5 measured all within .01 of an inch of each other for 4 shots at 100 yards, .693 to .694!

50 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip CCI-450 primers LC brass:
26.0 gr 3280 fps
26.5 gr 3344 fps
27.0 gr 3395 fps
27.5 gr 3463 fps
Best groups were with the 26.0 and 27.0 loads. 5 shots at 100 yds were .657 and .77 respectively. This was before my Timney trigger and I hope to improve on the groups.

I am glad it works well, since I bought 2 8 lb kegs when Powder Valley had it on sale for $79 per keg. It measures great throught the RCBS Uniflow and also seems to foul very little. Shoots good groups even after 50 or 60 shots.
I will try some 55 gr loads after I use up about 6 lbs of Accurate 2200 which shoots very nicely with the 55 gr projectiles.
Of course, approach maximum loads with caution and be sure to start low and work up. What may be safe in my rifle is no guarantee of being safe in yours....
