I agree. I stepped off a 50 yard kill last year with my Mossberg 835, 3-1/2" and #5 Nitro Magnums.
Stock, X-Full choke.
There is no need to get fancy with the 835 Mossberg.
This year? I cannot get the hens away from the gobblers (yet).
I had a tom RUNNING at me on Saturday when a hen he was with started calling from behind him. He stopped, whirled around and went back to her. LOL.
