I did the 35-284 in a short action, a Savage 99CD, and ran into OAL issues with most bullets over 225 grains. Given a choice, I like the 338-284 with the 210 grain Partition better, however neither the 338-284 or 35-284 offer a meaningful performance bump over the 338 Fed or 358 Win in a short action rifle.
