Sierra's are great, cheap, accurate, practice bullets. I do that same thing with my .358- practice with Sierra's, shoot Noslers for real.
I salute your spirit of adventure, exbiologist, and will be very interested in what you find out! Be a little cautious extrapolating 300 WSM to 325 WSM... I was one of the first kids on the block with a .325 (my first one), and there was NO loading data out there for it yet, and I was surprised at how a few things I tried did NOT translate well from 300 WSM. Either by showing pressure signs, or by really not making the kind of speed you might have expected looking at the 300 WSM data.
