Hi Thank's for the reply,I supected something like that was going on, I have 87 grain and 117 gr round nose bullet's that I load for my 25/35 and they work ok, I just like to try differant thing's as long as it is safe, Now to the 303 user I have lee precision dies for my 303, and it came with a loading table and say's bullet diameter .311, I have never used .311 bullets as the .308 shoot just fine in both of my 99 .303s, but it says on the loading sheet from lee that, QUOTE:these are 30-30 loads reduced 10% for your safety, you can try them if you wish, I beleive when using oversize jacket bullet's there is a much thinner line between a safe load and a dangers one, so be very careful if you try them ,good luck.
