...no just LE in general. The round was advertised to LE that due to its FMJ bullet at almost 1300 fps it did a great job on penetrating car bodies and the ceramic body armor badguys were using at the time that .38s and .45s would not penetrate. There were a lot of Texas Rangers who used Supers. I visited the Texas ranger Hall of fame in Waco a few years ago and took pictures of many of the Supers on display.

FYI Serial #50 (1949) Colt Commander .38 Super is on auction at GunBroker.com $2K and reserve not met...
