I was wondering the same thing about the roads in question.
People in cars, at least here, don't expect a bike to be moving that fast through an intersection, which is reasonable.
My old Kawasaki ZX-10 would do 100 mph in FIRST GEAR and go from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds- so it is very easy to get yourself in trouble if you don't keep that throttle in check!!
