I'm of the simple is better school here. I use a string-mounted peep and a single pin adjustable sight with the pin set at 22 yards. This year I will probably adjust it to 15 yards. I use holdover and practice to get effective to 30 yards. By effective I mean that I miss my mark by more than kill zone distance less than 5% of the time. But hey, my limit is 30 yards. This is easy shooting, not tournament archery.
The thing cost about 20$. I know what will happen if Bambi comes by and I've got several sight pins to choose from -- I'll choose the wrong one!
Bear in mind that I have never had a shot opportunity at greater than 20 yards. That's just the way it is here. I pre-range objects near my stand when hunting.
I don't see myself changing this system under current conditions.
Good shooting, Talus
