When I was a youngster I hunted with 4 different 22s. One was a Winchester single shot that was my greatgrandaddys's, it had a broken stock that was nailed back together. It still shoots pretty good, although I have to use a cleaning rod to eject the spent casings about 95% of the time. A Remington single shot it was a model 5 something or other like a 512 or 513, it always shot high. I could never hit anything with it. I had an Ithaca single shot, lever gun, kinda like a falling block. Don't remember the model, I traded it off in the 6th grade for a SS 20ga after I got a marlin semi auto. That was back when you could mail order rifles. I got the back end of that deal.

He was probably a yankee. smile

There is no accounting for taste.

Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.

Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however,
Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.
