the potential for richochets is much, much less for the typical 17 load than an 80 gr 223 load .

the heavy match bullets in the 223 are better in the wind , but the 25 gr v-max and also the custom heavier 17 slugs such as the Kindlers mentioned fare quite well in wind.....there's not all that much diffence between those and the lighter 22 bullets .
