+1, though IMR-4350 is good too smile !

These do well at 25'06 velocities, and there are a few here on the forum who run 'em in the 257 Roy without issue.

To imply that the choice is between popping on the surface or a Barnes would be an extreme oversimplification... or mischaracterization, really.

Deer don't wear armor plating; they're as easy or as hard to kill as they've ever been. If Barnes is the bullet you and your rifle like, go forth and kill stuff. But don't thinyou have to due to some perceieved lack of quality in other 25 cal bullets. Stay away from those marked "varmint" and, especially at Bob velocities, you'll get plenty of penetration.
